I have been scrolling through cards and I have thought about an Electrode SF/Ampharos PL combo. It focuses on having the opponent hit you, spreading damage and then they are then locked by Ampharos.

My question is this:
What should I use as a main attacker?
I have 3 options:

1. Have Ampharos as the main attacker, it can hit harder, but you have the risk of being KOed and ending the lock.
2. Attack with a Raichu GL. Have Electrode get damged and then retreat and hit hard with Raichu GL.
3. Use Electrode as and attacker and continually bash them for 60+ damage. Forcing them to retaliate and then, in result, locking them.

Please vote above for the main attacker or list a different option for it when you reply.

EDIT: Please follow the Player's Sandbox rules before posting. I added the links. ~EspeonROX.

Electrode #36 from Stormfront.
Ampharos from Platinum.
Raichu GL from Rising Rivals.

Why not have electrode as the main spreader then use raichu as clean up? Amphy would just be used for it's power. Tech in a sunyshore gym to cover weakness. The problem is that if need be your opponent will go around electorde via bright look, garchomp c. lvl X or warp point so you should attack accordingly.

Just tech the Raichu and a few Lightning and use all of them to attack. Also you might want to consider Electrode Prime since you're running the Electrode line anyway.

I actually ran this a couple of months ago just for fun. I used Electrode as my main attacker, and used Raichu GL to clean up the mess like Darkshy mentioned. Ampharos is too bulky to fit into a line like this.

Electrode's OK. You're going to need to run Expert Belt, because 90 HP isn't great. Now that Machamp Prime is going to make some sort of debut, it's even more necessary. Don't forget to run an SP engine with the Raichu GL.

Definitely run the solrock from the new set and the lunatone from SV. Prevents garchomps snipes to your solrock/lunatone, and it prevents healing.

My vote is for raichu gl. I think it would work wonderfully with your combo. As it is from rising rival it has this thunder throw, which would be very handy. You can choose two opponents and it can do up to ten damages to each of them. How neat is that? Repeat lighting is just terrific too; it does up to 30 plus damages. I guess raichu is just the right choice for main attacker.

Wow. As I'm typing this I'm actually building pretty much the same exact deck. Originally I was going to use Electrode SF. But then i realized that I could do the same thing with Frosslass LA. for {W}{C}, Icy Breath does 40 dmg, puts the opponent to sleep, and "Places" a damage counter on each of your opponents benched pokemon. I figured I'd pair this with Pichu HGSS. This forces my opponent into a very difficult decision: Load up their bench and risk their Powers going bye-bye, or not load it up and risk me setting up in their face. Then Ampharos' "Gigashock" attack will either do 60 for {L}{C}, or 30 and Paralyze. Since i normally FAIL coin flips, odds are my opponent will be paralysis locked until they can force a switch.
