Do you have to have a certain card to use it, or do you just stick your cards in the Lost Zone on a random place on the table you're battling on? I'm so confused. >_<

EDIT: Go ahead and discuss how much of an impact the Lost Zone will be with the release of HS-Triumphant. ~EspeonROX.

Okay, Lost Zone is Pokemon's equivalent to Removed From Play. (Yugioh reference)

Just like in Yugioh, cards in the Lost Zone, cannot be recovered normally. So in our case, cards like Aaron's, or Palmer's will not get them back.

So the point is, you dont want cards sent there. (Unless they are your opponents. lol)

How do you get your cards or their cards into the Lost Zone?
Simple. Just like all other moves you make, its all done via card effect.

Absol G Lv X lets you send cards from the top of your opponents deck to the lost zone based on the results of coin flips.

Simply put, you cannot just "randomly place" cards into the lost zone are your leisure. It must be done via card effect.

When a card tells you to "Send X to the Lost Zone" you take the selected card(s) and place them in a pile above where your Prize Cards would be. Once there, they can NOT be recovered or moved until the game is over.

Only certain cards have the ability to send cards to the Lost Zone but once those requirements are met(i.e. Coin Flip/Knock Out), the targeted card(s) are sent to the Lost Zone.

There is no requirement in order to use the Lost Zone other than having a card with the ability to do so.
