Final Fantasy IV

Yes, it can be used up to 3 times, so you might as well use all 3.

Focus can be used up to three times. It's near a waste to do it two, so in Boss Battles, use Focus three times.

Unfortunately I was person early in the game and had no idea you could get the augments from party members and stuff. Basically, I only have Counter, Auto-Potion, and Recall (what does that one do anyways?). Have I screwed myself over?

No, the game is quite beatable without the extra augments, but they do help.

Counter should go to Cecil and then you should immediately make it active. That will actually help you in this fight, since you can keep him on Defend mode and he'll retaliate against her physical attacks. Counter is great on Cecil no matter what, though, so it should definitely go to him.

The other two augments fail. What you use them for is fodder to gain other better augments. The way the augment system works is, you can obtain bonus augments from other party members after they leave, provided you gave them augments while they were in the party.

For example, after Palom and Porom leave, you can go to Mysidia and talk to the Elder in the tower, and he'll give you Twincast. But, if you gave Palom an augment, you'll also get Bluff. If you gave Porom an augment, you'll also get Cry. And if you gave 3 augments total to the twins, you'll get Dualcast.

At this point, the best places for those other two to go are to Yang. Once you complete the Sylph Cave sidequest later in the game, you'll get the augments for Focus, Kick, and Brace in return.

The problem with her is that she counters all of my attacks with Thundara/Blizzara/Fira and then immediately afterwards attacks again. I used a similar strategy to the one you just listed but I missed out on a few key things, so I'll try it again.

Which is why you restrict your direct attacks to Yang only :) If you're attacking with everyone, you'll get demolished by the counter-attacks.

It should only take 6 Focused attacks at most from Yang to take her down. Just take it slow and keep healing.

what does bluff and twincast do anyways?

Bluff doubles your Intellect stat for your next spellcast. Would be more useful if you didn't have to recast it every time.

Twincast is a special command that is innate to the twins. You have both start Twincast during the same turn, and once both are ready they both expend the MP and cast a random powerful spell. The main problems with the ability are that the spell cast is random, and it takes a long time and a bunch of MP that's probably better put to use elsewhere. But if you want to play around with it, give them to Cecil and Rosa. They have a chance of casting Ultima with it, which is the most powerful spell in the game by far.

Here's the complete list of Twincast spells (and which character pairs can cast them):

Pyroblast (30 MP) -- Non-elemental damage to all enemies. (Any two)
Comet (50 MP) -- Non-elemental damage to all enemies. (Any two)
Bravery (50 MP) -- Increases attack power of all allies. (Edge/Rydia, Edge/Cecil)
Bubble (50 MP) -- Double health of all allies. (Kain/Rosa, Kain/Cecil)
Faith (50 MP) -- Increases magic power of all allies. (Rydia/Cecil, Rydia/Rosa)
Ultima (99 MP) -- Non-elemental damage to all enemies. (Cecil/Rosa)

UUUUUUGH.
The stupid WPU keeps using Laser Barage twice in a row. >:[
Leading to insta-death for me. How the heck can I beat this stupid thing?

Somebody wanna fill me on on why I can't change my people, even though I've defeated the Giant?
I don't get why :[

Thanks for all your help in the thread Kaga. ;) I also recommend giving Twincast to Cecil and Rosa, but you can experiment on other playthroughs.

Mr.Spammy, give Yang Recall and Last Stand like Kaga said.

Silver, do you mean CPU? I don't know that boss...Also, you can't change your party. Cecil, Rosa, Rydia, Edge, and Kain are the final party members.

That's a good idea DFB. It's a really hard dungeon. :O

Oh, come on!
That sucks. :[]
I guess I can sell all the weapons that I saved for them. _-_
I wanted to use Palom and Porom considering they're epic.

No, you can't choose your final team in this version. In FF IV Advance you could. :O

Oh, but Edward becomes good with his Epic harp in Mt. Ordeals. D:
Why would they give you someone you can only use for 10% of the game?
He's just like FuSoYa except FuSoYa is only with you for like 5% :[

They balanced out the characters, so that's why Edward is way better in this version. Salve/Bardsong FTW. They just give you a character, they die/betray/leave, and then you get new ones, or you already have the final members. Don't complain to me; I still like the game.

Auto-Potion sucks. Seriously, after no mp, no ethers,no potions, and i have half of a fourths HP lost, it sucks alot.

True. Auto-Potion is a throwaway to get something better.

The best person to give it to is Porom (for Cry and Dualcast).

There's a guide on GameFAQs for getting every augment here:

i wish you can use palom and prorom again (my favorite characters, along with edge). We only get to use them for a short time...
