Just wondering, but who else has bullies or popular kids make fun of them because they like Pokemon? This is a thread to speak your mind so let it all out! Any tips with dealing with it would also be helpful.

I'm 21 and still love Pokemon. Yeah, I am still given crap for it, but I ignore it. I'm to the point now where I have come to terms with it. If you like something, just ignore people. You shouldn't change yourself for others.

It's going to happen to everyone. After all everyone has a secret. Nobody has teased me particulary. My one friend likes Pokemon and an other freind of mine also likes Pokemon. Both got picked on by the same bully. He still collects stuffted animals. Just remeber a bully is a person exploting a persons secret to mask their own. So the next time a cool kid laughs at you, imagine him in a room filled with dools laughing at you. How threating are they now?

How threating are they now?Yeah that happens to me all the time. It just goes to show you that a lot of people make fun of great things. They just don't know how much fun it is. (I believe they think it sucks because of the show which isn't everything.)
WEll, there was a thread about this earlier, but it died. I say that you should argue with logic. "Why is it stupid?", "Why is it *insert whatever they say about ti here*?" Then, take the offensive like...
"You just don't like it becuase everyone else says it did. So you just follow the crowd and can't think for yourself? Is that it?"
They counter verbally with a personal insult:
"So you can't think of a way to counter that, so you spit out random insults. Very smart"
A logical counter is difficult to come by. They hit/punch you, take the blow in an obvious area, so when a teacher notices it, identify who you got it from. They can't say you're a dobber, seeing that you didn't go straight there. But the most important thing is to show that it isn't getting to you.

I stopped playing them because of few things (WoW TCG came out, I destroyed my deck (Yep destroyed) and almost everyone in my school was making fun of me). Don't stop if you really like them as I did. It was dumb. I had the same problem.
And you just let them do that? You're taking it? No sense of justice? Unless all teachers in the school are biased as well, you could probably make a lawsuit for propety destruction. Or not. But he could get charged.
I destroyed them (cards). How? It was accident. I had my deck in small pocket in my bag and I had some fruit there as well. After one week of not looking into that pocket, my fruit was smashed and deck destroyed. DO NOT DO THIS.
Anyway: I wasn't good at TCG, but it was still fun (my record was 2nd on some tournament. Cool *huh*? ... It was prerelease (IDK how to spell it right))

Pokemon is for all ages - the ones who make fun of you for it are biased and stereotypical (they group these people into the "baby" section). Bottom line, don't let them get to you. Countering logically will show them you don't care what they think.

Anyways I don't understand why it's such a big deal to some people. It's a GAME. People need to grow up and stop bashing others, as it is just a GAME. I could make fun of people for 1000 different reasons, but I don't. They need to follow that as well.
