Strategy:
It's primary focus is to beat M Rayquaza, rivaling the deck when it comes to speed, M Sceptile is able to hit turn 1 with mega turbo and power up a benched Giratina EX.
When the giratina EX is out, the opposing M Ray deck needs to have a raichu XY, with muscle band and skyfield out to be able to 1HKO Giratina, none of which is possible if it's able to attack once, giving you the advantage.
The deck versatility in mind, with Giratina EX being there to counter mega pokemon giving them a hard time, while M Sceptile will two hit all non-mega ex, and with items like switch and energy recycler I'll be able to pull of two hits while cycle healing the M Sceptiles. M Sceptile's high HP is great for tanking a lot of ex pokemon to ensure surviving hits.
The muscle bands are crucial for Giratina to put out sufficent damage, and the ariados line is for extra poison damage, which seems nice to have at times but with the lack of effect on grass pokemon makes its use limited.
Hoopa and shaymin are obvious search cards.
The thing I'm not sure about is the items line, and how to fit in another Giratina EX in the deck. I know there's a lot of different attackers that might work well with M Sceptile, but with this deck I have consistency in mind rather than a toolbox.
I've only done limited testing with proxies so far, and I am very unsure about the line of items concerning energy being Mega Turbo, Professors Letter and Energy Retrieval. Whether to have more of less of each, the Mega Turbo is strictly for setting up fast T1, but other than that it has limited use with M Sceptile providing a steady stream of energy already. I's like to keep the 4 trainers mail as they are very useful for consistency in the deck being able to retrieve Giant Plant Forrest and energy based items when needed, this is also the reason I only have 3 of the stadium as opposed to 4, but I am considering adding 4 to win the stadium war as its sort of the point with having Giratina EX
Thoughts? Would love feedback on the item problem!
