Nintendo Wii... what the?

heck I dont care what the name is, so long as the way it works is awesome enough. I think people are beginning to realise that graphics aren't everything, the DS is destroying the psp apparently... I hope the Wii follows in its footsteps.

I just looked at the Wikipedia entry for it. There is a lot of interesting stuff that they talk about, such as an extra controller used for games from the N64 and earlier consoles. It also has spots for GameCube controllers and Memory Cards, so consumers will be able to play GameCube games on it as if it were an actual GameCube.

The more specs that are released about it, the better it seems to be getting...

That classic controler dosen't look like it'd be as comfortable as the Gamecube controller. Ahwell.

I agree. How do you play video games with a remote?

This is the controller that I am talking about. You're thinking of the "Nunchuk" controller, right?

It looks very similar to an SNES controller. As Porygon pointed out, I'm not sure how well it would work as far as playing N64 games, but it will be interesting to see.

Now that I look at it again, I think I see some grooves on the top of the controler which mean it at least won't be completley flat, which I was getting the impression of, although it still looks rather two-dimensional. I just hope I can get used to using a stick in place of the C-buttons. :\

Heh. I almost forgot you could actually plug your gamecube controller in if you just don't like this one at all. I hope the Wavebirds contoler blocks can be stuck up there, because it kinda has looked like that wouldn't be the case from what I've seen in the past. Either way, C-buttons>C-Stick IMO. :D

(maybe a company will be cool and make a 3rd party N64 controller duplicate...if that's even legal. Here's to hoping. :p)

I saw all the new Wii stuff this morning. I am really surprised in it too. I didnt think that it would turn out this way but I am really looking forward to it more than I was before.

I managed to get some games info and some of the games look just amazing! I cannot wait to buy Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess on the Wii (yes it's coming on the GC and Wii!).

Special powers/weapons/moves/features: Besides his trusty sword and shield, Link will use his bow and arrows, fight while on horseback and use a wealth of other items, both new and old. Players can use the Wii Remote as a fishing pole, while a spin of the Nunchuk controller executes a spin attack.

Metroid Prime 3... O..M..G..! They released a trailer of gameplay and... WOAH! I am VERY impressed with it. They didnt just bring back the MP1 and MP2 basic weapon features... they've added new and exciting ways to kill! Watch the trailer here and see how good it looks!

I'm also really looking forward to Super Smash Bros Online, Red Steel, Super Mario Galaxy and the new DK and Sonic games for Wii. Nintendo didnt reveal anything (as of yet) about SSB-Wii and I am glad about that. I dont want to be spoiled, just yet, with all the characters playable and how the game is played with the Wii-mote.

Cant wait!

O.M.F.G (Excuse me)... B_F: Sorwe... =P

THAT. IS. SO. AWESOME!!!!

And they say it will not be as powerful as the 360 or PS3...with graphics like that, who needs 60GB? SSB is a much anticipated title and boy oh boy if it (as well as SMG) look even half as good as Twilight Princess or Metriod Prime 3...OMG...I cannot get my head around this...

According to the May 15 issue of TIME magazine, the controller is really easy to use, and he didn't bring up anything about comfort.. I'd assume it'd be fine to use... you don't get sore fingers changing channels on your TV, do you?

I saw a screenshot of Twilight Princess in that article that interests me, even though it's kinda obvious. When using a bow and arrow, you just point the controller at the enemy (a crosshair appears) and click a button to fire, like an FPS, you could say. *shrug* I find that cool. Even though it's really obvious.

Here's some interesting information about the new Super Smash Bros. for the Wii.

Since there are huge spoilers involved, I'll be vague about it: new characters!

OMG!!! *Dies out of pure excitment*

I am disappointed it's not going to be a launch title anymore, but the controller confirmation was a relief.

That looks cool and I might get it for free from my brother when it comes out later this year because he is helping with the making of the system. My brother works for nintendo and I get alot of free items.:)
