I just found this out today! These are both fangames made by fans to help improve the pokemon games. If you've heard of Pokemon fire red omega or pokemon spirit gold, these are the same people that made this game! The enhanced game enhances new abilities for most pokemon and higher difficulty! I'm going to try and play it soon! Please leave any comments on this below!

RE: Pokemon blaze black 2 and volt white 2

This is interesting, I've never heard of this before. I would probably never play these kinds of things because they are hacks, and it seems pointless to play hacked games that aren't the real thing. Also, something tells me that this kind of activity is illegal. They are essentially violating Pokémon copyrights by modifying the game using the same Pokémon, characters, plots, etc. But hey, I'm no lawyer either.

Not to mention, the downloads seem a little sketchy. Oftentimes, these kinds of game modifications can be scams or infected with virus'. But the amount of YT video views would indicate that maybe the creators have some merit after all. It still surprises me that Nintendo/GameFreak have allowed this, unless they are in some way partnered, which is very questionable.

*Research time*

RE: Pokemon blaze black 2 and volt white 2

I remember hearing and seeing some gameplay footage of BlazeBlack and VoltWhite 1. It was basically Black/White with the same plot and areas, except different Pokemon appearing, and everyone was higher leveled. Simply put, it was like a "BW1 hard mode".
I know the creator of these ROMs does LPs of them to show off the game itself, and from what I can tell s/he seems to be a pretty cool guy, explaining why things are the way they are as the video goes on. Definitely a better quality than most other ROMs out there.

BB2 and VW2 are probably much the same way, I'd bet. I haven't played either, but I've heard good things about the first games.

RE: Pokemon blaze black 2 and volt white 2

So they made a BBVW2? Awesome. I played the first one and liked it (although I didn't get very far, I was stuck on Burgh). I'd at least like to give the Pokemon distribution in that game a look, BW2's poor distribution has always been a topic of interest for me since the game came out and I want to see how they handled it (I know BBVW2 will be absolutely crammed with Pokemon just like BBVW1 was, but I still want to see which Pokemon they put where).

RE: Pokemon blaze black 2 and volt white 2

I thought they partnered with Nintendo but I'm starting to doubt now

hahahaha no way. No one who makes ROM games partners with Nintendo, because it kinda skirts the boundaries of legality. Even the guy who made the Mother 3 ROM patches, awesome guy that he is, wasn't working with Nintendo.

They didn't, in fact I'm fairly certain Nintendo would never allow that.

Okay, I guess I won't play it based on your suggestions

No, by all means play it if it's something that interests you. I found many of BBVW's changes to be rather interesting, if broken at times (I'm looking at you, Grass/Dragon Contrary Serperior), but keep in mind it's not an official game, it's just a fan game.

Actually, my suggestion was quite the opposite - if you want to, try it out. It's just not an official game, but that doesn't mean it isn't good. Listen to what Bolt said; it's worth listening to.

RE: Pokemon blaze black 2 and volt white 2

What makes me not play any such mods is that they all go too far.

Id have to make one myself so itd include what I would deem okay xD.

Correct me if Im wrong but is there any popular one that simply changes
-trade evos to lv.up (with item)
-halve version exclusives/varying rates and use the other half for what takes that place in opposite version (40% zagnoose-> 20%zangoose/20%seviper etc.)
-replaces choices by getting all options
-gets rid of some other minor inconvient things, that dont mess up the game beyond intentions?

cause any I check its always some "omg all 649 soemwhere"-crap with Grass/Dragon serperiors with self-boosting Draco Meteors and all that stupidity.

A lot of these things are necessary, though, seeing as there's no way to trade with other games or transfer Pokemon from Poketransfer or the DW. If they didn't come up with ways to get around that lack of compatability, you wouldn't be able to complete the Dex.

Well obviously seeing as how they're fine with making Serperior that OP they don't care about balance. The game is basically a fun little "what if" scenario and it's fun to play around As always, if you don't like a particular Pokemon, feel free not to use it, there's plenty of other neat choices and the starters all have interesting type combinations in this game (Samurott is part Fighting, and Emboar is part Ground IIRC). And if that's still not enough for you, they have a "Vanilla" version of this game that doesn't make changes to the Pokemon (of course for me that'd defeat the purpose of playing the game since it'd basically be the same as the real thing except with ridiculous wild Pokemon distribution).

RE: Pokemon blaze black 2 and volt white 2

I'll play it, see how it goes, then post about it ok?

RE: Pokemon blaze black 2 and volt white 2

I got issue. In terms of blaze black, I got Desume, I got the black verion emulator, I got the blaze black file, so how do I put it in and make blaze black?

RE: Pokemon blaze black 2 and volt white 2

I think you have to extract them to one file.

Nevermind, I just patched mines no need for extracting except the .rar file

Game works!
I'll post about it on here while I'm playing it!

RE: Pokemon blaze black 2 and volt white 2

Playing it on desmume if anyone wants to know

I'm choosing a starter! Any suggestions?

RE: Pokemon blaze black 2 and volt white 2

There is an Edit button, so you could just hit Edit instead of trying to double-post and having your posts merged.

As for a starter choice? I dunno, flip a coin? They all got neat perks, so pick one.
