Poll: Which is better popularity or good grades

good grades, would you rather be rich and have a good job or be a man that wanders the street with no where to go?
 
Good Grades. If you're popular in school, then when you can't get a job, you won't be popular AND you'll be stupid -_-.

LOL.... I am defitnetly the coolest guy on pokebeach and most popular and good looking.... i messed up in high school.... and i regret it..... get those good grades, but dont neglect having a social life... because if you do then you will be smart and rich w/ no friends....

balance both but dont sacrifice your grades for popularity

(im in college part time, and a full time social worker FYI)
 
i'd pick grades over poppularity because i can be popular with goo grade's :p
 
If you are popular that doesnt mean that you always get bad grades. But yeah, good grades are way better. This is like asking which is better? Being very sporty or being very smart.

Grades PWN popularity.....fo suree. Im like the antonym of popular....but I have straight A's.....well now. This thread made me think I made the right choice....at least I hope so.

Dude your steroetyping. Im popular and keep up with my grades and plan on having a good life. If your popular the only thing stopping you from getting good grades are. Drinking, to much social time, parties and getting lost in space during a lesson.
 
I'm not stereotyping. I'm simply stating how grades will help you pump up your resume :p. Meaning, good grades=good job. That doesn't mean you CAN'T be popular and have good grades, but popularity should never be mroe important than good grades. In fact, nothing (except family) should be more important than good grades :).
 
Very true I thought you were saying if you were popular you can't get good grades. But in the long run its grades really I think its more fun to be a nerd at times. Yes I said it I live a dual life. In crowd/nerd.
 
Being a nerd is awesome. That means you're friends will be just a smart as you, and you can talk stimulating instead of "Duuuddeeeeeee.... wazzsup??!" lol :p. Still, one can easily be both. But still, if you're popular, put grades first. It'll be worth it in a few years =].

I know alot of stupid nerds. lol. Having a good social life will usually make it easier in the office to get connected to your employers and thus have a higher chance of getting a promotion.
 
I'm not saying that if you get good grades, you can't have a high social standing, but grades come before all that =]
