Was that made in Paint?
-Black Rayquaza

Yep, with the 'fuzzy' helped by photobucket thing :p Does it have a 'white boarder'?

Yeah.....you should really do these in a transparency-based program like Paint.net or GIMP or Photoshop :/

Here's my entry for the Banner challenge:

SinnohBannerLayoutX.png

For my incentive, I'll take the +2 points.

EDIT: And here' my fanfic entry. I hope I got the layout right. I've never had to write that way before.
NOTES: Just so the judges know (in case they weren't aware), Lucas = main male character in Diamond/Pearl, Jun = Rival in Diamond/Pearl. (Just so I don't get docked for not having at least 4 people from Sinnoh in there. xD ) +2 Point incentive, of course.
--------------------------------------------
“Almost there,” Lucas thought to himself as he painstakingly ran through the twisting passages of Mt. Coronet. With each battle against the seemingly endless Grunts of Team Galactic his bones grew sorer, his mind ached more, and, mirroring their trainer’s anguish, his Pokémon grew weaker and more tired. As he rushed through the dim cavern, oblivious to the jagged boulders that threatened to trip him with every step, his mind, no matter how much it throbbed, returned to the pain he saw on the faces of the Lake Spirit Pokémon in Team Galactic’s Headquarters. The visions fueled his berserk dash to the top of Mt. Coronet.

He made a ninety-degree turn around one of the warped passages, never stopping his breakneck pace, and noticed a bright light in the distance.

“The exit!,” he exclaimed, his mind’s tumult subsiding in the moment of relief. Just as he neared the heavenly light of the exit, two grunts jumped out from their hiding spots, stopping the direct path of Lucas’ dash.

“Stop right there, puny trainer,” one of the lowly Grunts yelled out. Deaf to the command, Lucas kept running towards the light that the two Grunts now blocked. The Grunt twisted his face in confusion.

“Didn’t you hear him?” barked the other Grunt. “Stop righ-!” But before the obnoxious pawn could finish his order Lucas barreled into the two fools without stopping, sending them flying to each side, wrapped in confusion and awe at the ignorant determination of the boy.

“Get up! We’ve gotta go after that runt,” yelled one of the Grunts to his partner. The two got up and began to give chase, but before they could pass through the bright passage someone behind them let out a quick laugh. Startled, the Grunts jerked around, their eyes meeting with a blond-haired boy who looked to be the same age as Lucas.

“What do you want?!,” moaned the two henchmen in unison, their anger towards the pesky runts reaching boiling point.

“I’m surprised to see Lucas acting as energetic as me,” the boy chuckled to himself. “You two aren’t going anywhere!” He grabbed for two Pokéballs from his bag, ready to battle the fuming Grunts.

The bright sky above momentarily blinded Lucas – his eyes strained to make out anything, but for a few seconds all was white. When his vision returned, he found himself surrounded by massive pillars, each one showing obvious signs of age. The ground beneath him contrasted the craggy, dangerous cavern floor – beige tiles lined the ground, their chilly surfaces creating a sleek, polished floor. Before him lay a small set of stairs, and to his sides laid Sinnoh, his homeland, stretched out as far as the eye could see. The beauty of the area was beyond compare, but his thoughts quickly reminded him of what brought him here. He hastily ran up the steps and met with the vile criminals he’d been searching for.

“Of course you showed up,” laughed Mars, her fiery eyes meeting Lucas’ glare.

“What would a mission be without our little troublemaker,” chimed in Jupiter, tossing a wily grin at Lucas. “I hate to burst your bubble, kid, but our boss has already taken care of things here,” she added, her grin never fading. Lucas looked past the two commanders and, sure enough, Cyrus stood behind them, his back to Lucas. In his hand was a red chain, each link glowing with sun-like intensity. Cyrus held the beginning of the chain, while the end of the chain stretched into a massive dimensional tear, its red-hot glow fading into the blackness on the other side.

“Hey, kid!,” Mars barked, bringing Lucas’ focus back to her. “You don’t think you’re going to put an end to our mission, now, do you?” Lucas nodded confidently. Mars let out a piercing laugh. “I admire your determination, runt, but there’s no way you can get past both of us and take out the boss. There’s just no way.”

“Not without a little help from his friend, anyways!” The blond haired boy approached from behind Lucas, giving his buddy a pat on the back.

“Jun!” Lucas’ excitement peaked at the sight of his rival and best friend.

“You didn’t think I was just gonna let them get away with this, did you? C’mon, Lucas, let’s teach these freaks a lesson!” The two friends reached for their first Pokémon.

“Little fools,” Jupiter growled. “We’ll be the only ones teaching anyone anything here!” The enraged commander tossed a Pokéball forward, and from it appeared a Skuntank. Mars followed suit and let her Purugly battle. Lucas sent out an Empoleon, its steely armor chipped and tarnished from the countless Grunt battles before. Jun’s choice was his Staraptor, which showed no sign of fatigue. Its glorious wings shone brilliantly in the light.

“Empoleon,” shouted Lucas, “Hydro Pump that Purugly!” Empoleon did as commanded, and fired a massive surge of water right at Purugly. The obese feline nimbly sprung out of the way, despite its bulk. “That thing’s fast,” Lucas thought to himself.

“Purugly, Body Slam that ugly penguin!” The cat lunged its flabby body towards Empoleon, but Jun’s Staraptor deftly knocked it away with a well-placed Quick Attack.

“Skuntank,” Jupiter yelled, “get going! Night Slash!” The malodorous beast quickly slashed at Staraptor, sending the unaware bird straight into one of the many pillars in the area. A sharp crack was heard from the impact, and Staraptor fell limp onto the cold tiles.

“A critical hit?!,” Jun exclaimed, unable to believe his prized bird was felled so quickly. He called back his Staraptor and gave his last Pokémon, Munchlax, a shot. “Stockpile, Munchlax!” The little Pokémon dawdled about, taking in giant gasps of air.

“What is that thing doing?,” chuckled Mars. “Purugly! Get rid of that ugly monster. Frustration!” The fat feline’s face reddened and its pupils disappeared as it made a berserk dash towards Munchlax.

“Shouldn’t have done that,” Jun taunted. “Munchlax – Spit Up!” Just as Purugly was about to crash into Munchlax, the little gremlin let out all of the air it had stored in its body and shot it at Purugly. The super-concentrated attack struck Purugly like a train, and it was sent flying across the battlefield, landing limply near its owner.

“Th-that little…,” Mars whispered, dropping down next to her fainted Pokémon.

“You’re out already?!” Jupiter exclaimed. “Useless!” She turned to face her Skuntank, which was awaiting its next command. “Wipe that little beast out of existence! Gunk Shot!” Skuntank braced its body, then fired a black beam of noxious slime at Munchlax, which instantly covered the tiny Pokémon. It tired to fight its way out of the muck, but with each movement its body became more trapped. Jun lowered his head and called his Pokémon back. He simply couldn’t watch his Pokémon suffer.

“Lucas, it’s up to you,” he solemnly said to his friend.

“Thanks, Jun. You were a great help.” He gave his downtrodden friend a pat on the back and turned back to the battle. Jupiter switched her focus to Lucas now. But something was definitely wrong.

“Wh-where’s Empoleon?!,” she shrieked, her eyes desperately searching for Lucas’ Pokémon.

“I figured you all were so busy trying to take out Munchlax that I’d let Empoleon Swords Dance for a bit,” Lucas responded, returning the wily grin Jupiter had given him earlier.

“Y-you little brat!” Jupiter roared, her face a deep red. She whipped around, and noticed Empoleon standing on top of a broken pillar. But before she could give her command, Empoleon rushed towards Skuntank with Aqua Jet, knocking it up in the air. It landed with a crash, causing the ground around it to crack and dent. Jupiter desperately looked at Skuntank, hoping to see the will to fight still in its eyes. Seeing it was about to faint, she gave out one final order.

“Quick, Skuntank! Memento!” The skunk’s shadow suddenly took form and vanished behind Empoleon. Before it could even move, the shadow was absorbed into Empoleon, sapping all power from the Pokémon and instantly fainting it. Lucas called his Pokémon back, and glared at Jupiter.

“Oh, such a nasty look,” she teased. “Don’t worry, punk. I’m outta Pokémon – you got us.” She turned to her boss, who hadn’t moved his gaze from the portal before him. “Sorry, boss, but we’re outta here.” Cyrus shook his head in disbelief.

“Just go. You’ve got no purpose of being here any longer, anyways,” he coldly replied. Jupiter and Mars both put their heads down and backed away, slinking back into the darkness of Mt. Coronet. Cyrus plucked a Pokéball from his pocket and released a Weavile. “Hold the chain while I deal with this boy. Alert me if anything happens.” The wicked Pokémon nodded, and tightly grabbed the chain. “You,” Cyrus began, turning to Lucas, “have come so far only to fail. I will succeed in making a new universe in which I am the god, and you shall have no place in it.”

“Cyrus,” Lucas begged, “why are you doing this? Don’t you see the harm it’s causing?” He looked back at his friend, who sat slumped against a pillar, quietly thinking about his poor Pokémon.

“You simply cannot comprehend my motives, and I haven’t the time to explain it to those who will not understand… Now, prepare yourself.” Cyrus reached for another Pokéball and released the Honchkrow contained inside. Lucas sent out a fairly weakened Luxray, its once-sleek black fur made grimy by tiring battles. “Honchkrow,” Cyrus calmly stated, “Nasty Plot.” The black bird closed its eyes and started thinking vile thoughts about its foe.

“Luxray! Spark!” Lucas’ order was followed, and Luxray struck Honchkrow, sending waves of electricity through its body. Honchkrow quickly stopped its plotting and shot back with a Dark Pulse. The unavoidable wave washed over Luxray, immediately knocking it out. Lucas called Luxray back and sent out Alakazam, his last Pokémon. It was in the same poor condition as his other Pokémon.

Cyrus quickly took notice. “I see my followers have done quite a number on your tools.”

Tools?” Lucas shot back. “These Pokémon are my friends!”

Cyrus chuckled unfeelingly. “I see. I haven’t the need for ‘friends’, as you call them. These Pokémon are simply tools for me to create my new universe. Now, Honchkrow, Dark Pulse.” The evil crow tried to follow the command, but electricity coursed through its body, causing its muscles to tighten.

“Serves you right, Cyrus,” Lucas shot in. “Alakazam! Thunderbolt!” The psychic Pokémon pointed one of its spoons at Honchkrow and fired a lump of electricity at the helpless bird, instantly knocking it out. Cyrus grimly called his tool back, and took a look at his Weavile. The impish Pokémon was smiling at its master, as the chain was being tugged at. It handed the chain to Cyrus, who held it firmly in his hand.

“Now you shall see the creation of my universe first-hand,” Cyrus calmly announced. “Come forth, master of time! Dialga!” Cyrus yanked at the chain with both hands, and out walked Dialga. As it entered Spear Pillar, darkness poured from the dimensional tear, spreading across Sinnoh. Dialga’s neck was tightly wrapped in the red chain, rendering it unable to fight back. Its baleful red eyes glared down at Cyrus. The darkness that poured from the tear stopped and turned to a fierce storm overhead. Thunder drove into Mt. Coronet, making Spear Pillar quake. “Perfect,” Cyrus laughed. The diamond on Dialga’s chest began to glow a deep blue, dying Spear Pillar a faint blue in the raging darkness. “Now is the time,” Cyrus began,” to start creating my universe.” He turned to Lucas. “Do you see now how futile your efforts have been? How you’ve simply been chained down by your useless emotions?”

Lucas stood in awe of the mighty deity that towered above him. Dialga’s gaze was still fixed on Cyrus, but Lucas could still make out the pain in its eyes. His mind returned once again to the pain he saw on the faces of Azelf, Uxie, and Mesprit. He turned to his friend and noticed the tears in his eyes as he looked at the darkness spreading over Sinnoh.

“I couldn’t stop it,” Jun croaked, his voice and mind wracked by the immense sorrow filling his soul. Now what will happen to Sinnoh? To mom? To dad?”

Lucas looked back at Cyrus. “Cyrus!” he roared. The malicious man was too wrapped up in fulfilling his dream to notice Lucas’ rage. Just as Lucas was about to rip Cyrus apart himself, the Lake Spirit Pokémon appeared in a triangle around Dialga. The darkness that had swept over Sinnoh dissipated and the red chain shattered.

What?!” Cyrus bellowed, his plans so easily brought to nothing. He looked at Mesprit, Uxie, and Azelf with sheer hatred. The three pixies gently floated around Dialga before disappearing. “How could this be possible? You! Child!” He rushed to Lucas and grabbed his arm with a grip that nearly broke his arm. Lucas was still dazed from how quickly everything had changed. Cyrus continued his assault. “How did you call the Pokémon of the lakes to aid you!? Do you know what you’ve just done!? Answer me!” Lucas regained his senses and met Cyrus’ burning glare with a happy gaze. Cyrus, his rage turning to insanity, slugged Lucas in the cheek, sending him flying across the cold floor. Lucas’ Alakazam quickly jumped at Cyrus, but his Weavile knocked it back, causing it to faint. Cyrus walked heavily towards Lucas, who’d gotten up and wiped the blood from his mouth in surprise. Right before Cyrus could grab for Lucas again, the mighty dragon roared, shaking all of Sinnoh. Cyrus stumbled and regained his footing, facing Dialga. The deity began charging up a Roar of Time and fired it at Cyrus. His Weavile took the attack for him, and was sent flying off the top of Mt. Coronet. Cyrus stood in awe at what had transpired. Scared motionless, he simply watched as Dialga charged up another attack. Jun, coming to his senses, grabbed hold of his long-time friend and pulled him to the side, hidden amongst the pillars. The two watched as Dialga shot its beam at Cyrus, who was struck dead-on.

Nothing remained of Cyrus when the beam cleared.

Is it ok if I send it in tomorrow instead?
My word processor is acting up, and typing it all in one post would be too slow. :/
If I do end up getting it in late, feel free to deduct points. Its my fault for leaving things until the last minute. >.<

I'm sorry. I will not be entering a fanfic for this round because of schedule problems. I haven't even started yet! Sorry.

I'm going to skip this challenge if that's all right. :[
I'm pretty sure it's already over, but even if it isn't, I don't think I'd have enough time to complete the challenge to the best of my ability.
Sorry.

When the next challenge is announced, I'll get to work as soon as I can.
