Hey there. I don't know of any active members who are from Iowa, but I'm sure there are some lurkers out there who are from Iowa and might want to play the Pokemon TCG somewhere.
There is a sanctioned league in Waverly at The Gamers Link (211 W. Bremer Ave., Ste. B - Alley Entrance) that I believe meets twice a week. I know for sure that they meet on Saturdays around 12 or 1. There is a sealed Furious Fists tournament THIS Saturday, the 23rd! I believe the cost is $25 for 6 booster packs and 2 more once you complete the tourney (just like a prerelease). They also have tournaments regularly, about once a month or so, where they hold raffles and pass out merch and booster packs.
There's also a small number of us who meet on Mondays around 4:30-5 at The Core comic book shop in Cedar Falls (1926 Valley Park Dr.) and play until 7. It used to be kind of sanctioned, but since so few people show up, that kind of fizzled out and now it's just playing for fun/practice, but it'd be nice if more people would show up!
