Which Version Of Megaman Starforce 3 Is Better?

Which Version is Better?

Heh, I vote Black Ace. 'course, I'm biased. The Noise Forms matter not in the versions, as the only Exclusives are the Finalized Forms. It's just a rarity issue when getting them.
Like, if you get BA, the ones listed for Black Ace have a 15% chance of appearing (or something like that) while the ones for Red Joker have a 3% chance of appearing in BA.

There's really only a few things you'll lose by picking one version over the other. The finalized forms, the Gigas, and the all mighty Ace/Joker Program, which is the same thing in both games. Besides that, there's nothing to worry about.

To be honest, I am not sure, as you can nno onger trade on WiFi, and npbpdy I physically know has it. I would assume you can trade the IDA Giga Cards, however, as you can get an infinite amount of those, provided you are lucky.

I'll have to discover that on my own then.

Both games have their ups and downs. For me it seems. >.> I like the design on the finalized noise form in BA, but not so much in RJ. However, my playstyle matches that of RJ's Giga Cards better. >.>

Is the Mu Barrier an "IDA" Giga Card? If so, I think I might be close to choosing.

EDIT: Actually, could some please describe all the Gigas for me?

Mu Barrier is a Black Ace-specific Giga.

Black Ace Gigas:
Mu Barrier: Creates a Mu Barrier with every movement
Wing Blade: 450 Damage. Hits in a straight line and hits every block in front, to the left, and to the right. There's also a special attack that shoots at your opponent or slashes them before doing the main attack.
Darkness Hole: Auto-Destroys Virus if below 300 HP, Boss if below 500
Millikick: 20 damage. Does 24 kicks to the square infront of you. Non-time freezing.
Break Time Bomb: 600 damage. Normal bomb that takes 3 seconds to activate.

Red Joker:
Dread Lazer: Fires a lazer down all blocks to the left, right, and infront of where you're standing. Does 20 damage and hits 14 times.
Destroy Missile: If opponent is standing on a normal/cracked panel, they'll be hit 12 times. Don't know how much damage (I assume 30-50)
Buster Max: The name is obvious. Your buster's stats max out.
Taurus Tackle(?): Straight Line attack like Wing Blade (Minus the side hit, I assume). Dunno how much damage, but I predict about 400-500
Mirror's Edge: Summons a 200 HP Mirror infront of you that drains your opponent's HP when they're directly infront of the mirror.

IDA Gigas:
Pegasus Magic GX: 450 Damage. Does a 3x3 magical ice attack on back 3 rows. Freezes
Leo Kingdom GX: 40 Damage. Does a 3x3 fire blast on back rows a total of 12 times
Dragon Sky GX: 50 Damage. A tornado is formed by Dragon Sky and blows away auras and hits 10 times
Gorgon Eye: 550 Damage. Ophiuca shoots a laser down the row that pierces invisible
Gemini Thunder: 400 Damage. Gemini Spark shoots a electric beam in a T shape down field where T is the end of the field. Causes paralyze level 2, even on the sides now
Avalanche: 80 Damage. Yeti Blizzard is summoned and sends an avalance that freezes and hits 6 times
Plesio Wave: 400 Damage. Plesio Surf summons a wave that hits everything on the field
Flying Impact: 500 Damage. Terracondor flys down two columns which breaks
Rogue Break: 450 Damage. Rogue slams his sword down on back 3 rows and breaks if your in the middle (under the sword). Opponents get hurt if not under sword by energy wave
Light of Saints: 90 Damage. Queen Virgo is summoned and dies a 3x3 light pillar attack that hits multiple times
Pain Hell Flame: 100 Damage. Jack Corvus is summoned and he hurls fire down on field in random spots that crack panels.

Downloadable Content Giga:
Crimson Meteor: 300 Damage. Summons Final Boss and does 300 damage 2 times to the farthest 3x3 area for a total of 600 damage.

That sucks. -__-

Well, the edit to my post still stands. The Version-Exclusive Gigas are the main deciding factor here, it seems. Could someone tell me what they do, and which is from which game?

I would check myself, but looking up guides to see these things usually leads to accidental spoilers on plot points.

Er...*kicks his last post* I gave you all the Giga Card information for the entire game.

Awesome! Thanks!

I bolded the ones I like. It's tied. >.<

But yeah, overall, the Black Ace ones impress me more.

I think a decision has just been reached.

While Red Joker has a few perks, such as Super Armor and Status Guard, which beats Omni Shoes and Fast Gauge...

The Giga Chips, another main deciding factor, are IMO better in Black Ace.

The Finalized form comes with what has apparently been usually called a "better" preset folder for Red Joker.

Yet the fact that I like the design of Black Ace better than Red Joker.

Darkness Hole clinches it, I've always liked the thing, it's been my main card to use since SF1. Yes, it counts twice.

I'm going with Black Ace. Thanks everyone! (unless someone found another difference between the two that I haven't looked into)

Kaitou did a pretty good job. I think that BA has better Giga Cards in general, but DestryMissle and DreadLazer are great!

I agree with you, 100%.

Mainly, the fact that Black Ace owns when it comes to Gigas leads me to wan that version. That said, the two you mentioned are very good.

I was asked to explain myself. The series is UBER EASY. There are no fun puzzles. Even the battle system is lame. a 1X3 board does not give much of anything. I completed all three in the series in a combined total of 30 hours. That includes all chips, and all unlockables. If you wanna spend your money better, get the MMBN series. Even so, I'd say BA is probably better if you REALLY want to waste your money.

Well everybody knows that BN wins. That's why I'm REALLY excited for the remake with SF features. :D

Meh, so what if the puzzles aren't fun? I don't remember ANY puzzles in the BN series being fun either: they are all just things in the way of the boss, IMO. The board is actually 3x5, and although no free movement is annoying, as far as PvP goes, your opponent is in the same boat, and it doesn't stop them from being fun and exhilerating.

I find it VERY hard to believe you completed every unlockable in 30 hours as far as all 3 games go. VERY hard. That would require you to have known exactly where every virus for every card is at every moment of the game, have the Zennys to buy the other cards in the first place, have some serious luck avoiding random encounters (unless you bought Cloakers, which is less Zenny to buy cards anyway), and get the exact virus busting rank necessary to get the specific card. And you would need that to happen for all 3 games. And let's not forget M completion, which requires exact Busting Scores on the Bosses to get the exact card you need, like an 8 ranking to get ClubStrong v2. I'm going to have to call your bluff and say that that was an extreme exaggeration, or ya used an AR the whole time! :p

^I'm serious. I breeze through these games...

At least BN didn't TRY to have unfun puzzles. :(

I mean tthe first two... the third game wasn't even worth buying. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me thrice, NOT GONNA HAPPEN

Meh, I didn't like 2 either. But 1 was alright, and 3 is superb.

But yes, BN will always be the best, 3 in particular.

I already have played all of BN, and I'm not about to go hunt down an old game on eBay anyways.

Sheesh. >.>

Anyway, as soon as you get it, be sure to form a Brother Band with us! You said you'd want to after story mode right?

That is precisely what I said. After the main story, I'll look for non-in-game BrotherBands.
