Who hates it when...

Your buddies check out your new cards and bend them? Not crease, but like holding from top and bottom and pushing so that it curves like a half-pipe?

It just absolutely makes me cringe! That's why I put them in sleeves, to protect them and make shuffling easier, not so you can make bridges with them!

I'm especially mad because the card that sparked this thread was my Magmortar LV.X, pulled by myself... I mean, it's in flawless shape still, untouched, but what if it got ruined? What if the curve was too much and it stayed for good? Cards are expensive, especially when you're looking for a new job.

Any stories that outright anger you? Vent!

I hate it when people post a topic title like...

Who does....

ANd then you got to check the topic.

Srsly, just tell your friends to be careful. I tell them not to touch my TSD for a reason.

I allowed some friends to use my decks in League once because they did not bring their decks with them. They overshuffled and several card sleeves I had became torn. Not cool. I am thankful cards in those torn sleeves were not messed up. People need to realize cards and decks are worth time and money spent.

Eh, I keep my rares in a binder, but if somebody bends one of them into a 'half pipe,' I won't be losing any sleep. If they downright put a crease through it, I might be slightly peeved for roughly 5.6 seconds.

Of course, you're also talking to somebody who shuffles Pokémon cards like Poker cards. I see people cringe when I do that, too.

Stuff happens. Bent cards are small in the long run. *shrug* It's best to just roll with it. :)

yeha i know what you're saying , like today i was selling cards to the guy who owns the shop where i play and this random kid comes up and says he wants so see the guys cards [you know buy them] and what does he do he tryed to take mine and buy them . when i didn't even make a offer yet ! it jsut angers me , but he was kinda young so i didn't get too mad. kids can be kids

Bending or tearing the cards is nothing. The first time I let someone look through my cards, he stole all of the holographic rares from it. From that point on, I never let my decks out of my sight when someone else is holding them.

lol that's just sad, last year at states i lost or some one stole a card that was big in my deck and i had to redo the whole deck right there at states

i hate it when people confuse cards for stickers . i once was letting this kid look trough my cards when all of a sudden his cousin comes along and confuses one of my japanese cards for a sticker . i told her it was a card not a sticker, but she didnt believe me. before i knew it she had it in her hands and was already pealing the foil off. i was so mad . she completly ruined my card and then was all like " oh well , i guess it isnt a sticker", and just left without even saying sorry.

That's why you open boosters alone and stuff them in your album before showing it off. That is, if you want your friends to believe you really did pull it.

duh! that was a long time ago and it only happen to me once . at least it was only a stupid wigglytuff and i got like two more a couple of weeks afterwards. i now keep my cards in binders and dont let anyone touch them .

mega lol , a sticker ,lol it jsut sounds so funny, and the quote was even funnier

Now most people where I come from always take out the cards they want to trade for from the binders. Annoying don't you think? But no worries. The guys who do that are mostly gentleman{well not in the least} and won't bad cond your stuff. But it is annoying when you have to put everything back.

now that i think about it, it is kind of funny . i ended up fixing that wigglytuff with just a little bit of glue and lots of pressure! after that it was trade of in no time . it even got better a few weeks later when i traded a a base set charizard for a nidoqueen , nidoking , polywrath , clafairy , blastoise , and TWO WIGGLYTUFF HOLOS! i then wasnt even given a chance to miss the charizard when i pulled 3 more a week or two later all on the same day . so yeah , it was easy to get over the whole incident.

Yeah, it WAS sad. It took place in middle school, and I had never encountered anything so wildly popular that I was actually getting myself into. The holo-rares, at that point, were practically paper gold. If you let people know you had any, you were in physical danger.
