Strategy:

This deck is based on google Cawthon's Worlds deck for 2011 in which he placed 2nd.

The main goal of this deck is to get a turn 2 Vileplume/Dusknoir. You use Dusknoir's ability to but damage on itself and use Whimsicott to remove the damage and attack using it while you wall with M-Rayquaza. Steven is your energy searching. This is a WIP so help is wanted in any way shape or form.
Thanks!

Once during your turn (before your attack), when you play this Pokemon from your hand onto your Bench, you may use this Ability. Search your deck for up to 3 Pokemon-EX (excluding Hoopa-EX), show them to your opponent, and put them into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward.

My fear of this deck is too slow and clunky in this format, especially as many decks now aim to 1-hit KO rather than stock up damage. I'm not necessarily knowledgeable in the actual Truth deck, but I do understand the point of the deck: Deny prizes through damage manipulation, lock your opponent with Vileplume and get prizes using a strong Pokemon (which was Donphan Prime). I don't like Rayquaza as the damaging Pokemon. You'll need a lot of to set up for it, and between Skyfield, the Mega Evolution rule and high energy cost, I am not sure how plausible this is. If you want to run a Mega, Sceptile or Manectric feel more plausible as an energy accelerator as well as bulky HP. In fact, Sceptile-EX itself in combo with Ariados can do huge amounts of damage with Assassin Claw - up to 170 with Muscle Band going in - if you decide not to use the Mega.

I honestly don't know what to change without changing your actual deck. I think that you are going to need 2 Juniper and 1/2 Fan Club, and could take out things including Teammates and Lysandre, but then you'll lose consistency. Shaymin-EX I think should also be put in as a safety net. I think that maybe you should take out the Mega-Ray for the space and put in Mega Sceptile, while taking out your 4 Skyfield for 3 Giant Plant Forest. Swapping out the Stadium should also allow you to get rid of a Wally (keep 1 for back up).

Here's a de-Ray'd deck:

-2-2 Mega Rayquaza
-4 Skyfield
-1 Wally
-1 Fairy Energy (I don't want to tamper with the supporter lines like Teammates and Lysandre.)

+2-2 Mega Sceptile
+3 Giant Plant Forest
+2 Juniper
+1 Fan Club

Ariados – Grass – HP70
Stage 1 – Evolves from Spinarak

Ability: Poison Nest
Once during your turn (before your attack), you may use this Ability. Both Active Pokemon are now Poisoned. (Excluding [G] Pokemon.)

[G][C] Corner: 30 damage. Your opponent’s Active Pokemon can’t retreat during your opponent’s next turn.

Weakness: Fire (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 1

Sceptile-EX
– Grass – HP170
Basic Pokemon

[G] Sleep Poison: 10 damage. Flip a coin. If heads, your opponent’s Active Pokemon is now Asleep and Poisoned.
[G][C] Assassin Claw: IF your opponent’s Active Pokemon is affected by a Special Condition, this attack does 70 more damage.

Weakness: Fire (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 1

M Sceptile-EX – Grass – HP220
Mega Evolution – Evolves from Sceptile-EX

When 1 of your Pokemon becomes a Mega Evolution, your turn ends.

Θ Stop: Prevent all effects of your opponent’s Pokemon’s Abilities done to this Pokemon.

[G][C] Jagged Saber 100 damage. You may attach up to 2 [G] Energy from your hand to your Benched Pokemon in any way you like. If you do, remove all damage from each Pokemon you attached them to.

When a Pokemon-EX has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Weakness: Fire (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 2

Giant Plant Forest – Trainer
Stadium

Each player’s [G] Pokemon can Evolve during the first turn and on the turn they were put into play.

This card stays in play when you play it. Discard this card if another Stadium card comes into play. If another card with the same name is in play, you can’t play this card.
