Judging by those calculations by NASA it should miss by ALOT. At best it will be close enough to Earth to give us a Meteor Shower but nothing too significant or close to an extinction level event. Thank God!
I can see where people got the reference from, the name of the comet "Elenin" named after Russian astronomer Leonid Elenin with "Ele" abbreviated to "Extinction Level Event" and "Nine Eleven" as to reference 9/11 and possibly 3/11. Awkwardly enough the guy I heard that talked about this at my local grocery store was cashiering on Register 9, coincidence? o_0
